PMU explained

Before PMU: the questions worth asking.

Shape, pigment, hygiene and aftercare—all part of an informed decision.

Permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing used to add definition to features such as brows and lips. It deserves a considered decision, even when the intended result is subtle.

Ask about the process

Discuss the planned shape, pigment, practitioner training, hygiene procedures and written aftercare. Ask to see authentic healed work as well as fresh results.

Understand the limitations

Risks include infection, allergic reactions and scarring. Pigment can persist, and removal may be difficult or incomplete. Tell the practitioner about relevant medical conditions and previous reactions before deciding whether to proceed.

Discuss follow-up individually

Ask how healing will be reviewed, what a touch-up involves and whether it is included in your quotation. There is no fixed touch-up promise on this website; agree the terms for your own treatment.

Seek medical advice if you develop a concerning reaction after a procedure.
